Coleman was born at Blackpool Lancashire. She was headgirl for the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A-levels. As she discussed her Emmerdale character Coleman confessed her regret of not attending a university. In high school Coleman was part of a company for theatre called In Yer Space with whom she performed in the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Her performance was rewarded, and the play received favorable reviews. Coleman was offered the role of Jasmine Thomas while she was performing at drama school. It happened in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two prizes. In 2007 Coleman was nominated for two awards, in the British Soap Awards as the Most Popular Newcomer, as well as the National Television Awards as the most Popular. In 2009, she was awarded nominations for two different categories: Best Actress and Sexiest Female. Coleman has been named Best Actress by the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat announced at a Doctor Who press conference on 21 March that Coleman has replaced Karen Gillan as the companion of the Doctor when Arthur Darvill left the series and was to play the role along with Matt Smith. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she complimented Smith, and that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the film industry since 1987. Eva has been spending more time working on television shows than in films. Eva's role in TV shows Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami are notable. This particular show gave Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. The actress also had the chance to show off her artistic side via music. Aside from acting, Eva is also a charitable philanthropist, as well as entrepreneurial. Her marriage has occurred three times and also has a daughter with her first husband.
